The food and beverage experience at 1701 is inspired by the historic exploration and influence the ancient Moors have on world cuisine from Spain, the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico and the Americas. At 1701, 14th Century spice blends and techniques are carefully forged into epic dishes while being harmoniously paired with cleverly crafted wine and beer cocktails.
The menu at 1701, is curated using an alchemy of Spanish and Afro-Caribbean flavors with ingredients carefully selected from locally sourced farmers, butchers, fish mongers and spice purveyors.

We go the extra mile to source local bakers, spice purveyors, beekeepers and other food product businesses to add flare to our recipes as we also stimulate the area's economy.
It is also our duty to showcase the rich culture and entertainment in the Bay Area as we hire local DJ's, bands and other artists for our events.
COMMUNITY FRIENDLY
California has some of the richest producing farms in the country so and we take special care in selecting the very best from the a consciencious responsible growers, fish mongers and poultry and cattle ranchers.The basis for our standard menu items are local products picked at their prime within 25 miles of our location. Each week, we source our produce directly from an amazing array of farmers providing fresh picked produce for your enjoyment.

Our recipes are filled with local ingredients, purchased as needed in consideration of freshness and flavor for your dining pleasure. Fresh sustainable products are the apex of great food and a great dining experience.
